| Is there a product that will still give power to the clock and allow employees to utilize it while the power is out? | ||||||

| A UPS (battery backup) could work for you during a power outage. These are commonly used for computers in the event of power surges or sags and would continue to power a computer for 5 to 15 minutes which would also give one enough time to shut a computer down in the event of a power outage. Because the TimeClock consumes very little power to operate (approximately 15 watts) as opposed to a computer that would use 10-30 times that a UPS could power a clock for far longer than 5 to 15 minutes. If the clock is the only thing plugged into it one could probably expect hours out of a UPS that normally could only run a computer for minutes in the event of an outage. But with so many UPS products out there and with out testing we cannot give a definitive amount of time when the UPS would finally be out of power and the TimeClock cease to function. Most office supply stores offer UPS equipment as well as most other stores that carry computer equipment.
