Though our clocks are meant to allow for unregistered PIN's, an "INVALID ID" error can be caused by an employee entering something at the clock that does not conform to a setting in Accountant Menu > Miscellaneous Settings > ManualClock.
ManualClock offers four options:
1. "Any number up to 9 digits allowed" 2. "Never Allow", meaning no PIN entry is allowed only a swipe card or finger print 3. "Allowed, except for 8 digit numbers" 4. "Allow SSN Only", meaning the PIN must match the SSN field in that employees Employee Setup page
If the PIN entered at the clock does not conform to the selection chosen (too short, too long, or not the SSN) they will receive this "INVALID ID" error.
