Verify Transmit Status

At any time, you can check the status of punches sent to the server in terms of the size of the batch, the proportion of punches successfully sent, and the date/time of the last data transmit. This can be helpful if your punch data does not yet appear online when it normally should.

Note that time clocks are programmed to send data at a specific time each day, which usually takes place in the early hours of the morning following the days activity (a.k.a., late at night). If your punches are not yet appearing online, that may be a result of the programming of the clock (this time can be changed. To transmit manually at any time, press "9" on the clock keypad.

Additional information can be modified for your time clock: terminal ID and Location Stamp. These two items allow punches to be assigned to a certain time clock and location.

To view time clock details or change a clock dial-out time, select the Clock Management/Verify Transmit link of the Accountant Menu.

Punch Data Extraction Kit

Occasionally, a time clock will lose its ability to transmit and communicate with the web server. This can be due to a non-responsive modem. In this case, the data must be extracted manually from the time clock. Note: Data can only be extracted if the time clock's memory is still functional along with other key components.

Data Extraction Kits are used to extract the information from your time clock. They can be purchased from SwipeClock for $25.00.

If you would like to extract data with your kit, review the following instructions: #129#
