My clock says "WAITING FOR LINE". Is there a problem with the clock? Are you having problems with your servers?
Answer
The message WAITING FOR LINE means that the clock has not yet dialed - it is waiting for a good phone line to be free so it can dial.

This message COULD mean:
- No phone line attached
- The phone line isn't analog
- Someone is already using the phone
- The clock's modem could be damaged or defective.

This message DOES NOT mean:
- That there is a problem with our service
- Nor that the wrong phone number is entered
- Nor that the dialing prefix is incorrect.

Troubleshooting:
- Make sure no one else is using the phone.
- Plug the clock into another phone line.
- Make sure the phone line works, by plugging a phone into it and listening.
- Make sure the phone line is ANALOG. If a fax machine works in it, the clock should work too (although they might not work together on the same line).

If none of the steps work this may need to be returned via our RMA process. Please contact Support in the event of this.
