| TimeClock Errors - Unknown Serial Number | | Question | | I tried programming the clock, and it goes all the way through, but right before it finished, I get 'Unknown Serial Number' | Answer | Please ensure that that serial number is assigned to the client by verifying it being listed in Administration > Verify Transmit, and that the serial number matches between the sticker on the clock and what is listed in Verify Transmit.
Once assigned simply wait 10 minutes from when you entered the clock's serial number in the system, for the server to refresh. Once the server has refreshed, then the system will see that clock as having a legitimate serial number, and will allow the download.
In rare cases, this message will also happen if a client has been recently activated (from being previously inactive, NOT for newly activated clients). If you suspect that this is the case, then contact Support through a support ticket and we will check for any discrepancies with the recently activated client.
