TimeClock - Clock asks for a Merchant ID when Programming If you are getting a request for the Merchant ID when programming a TimeClock you may be entering an incorrect command when programming. During a step in the programming (5 in this article TimeClock - Programming or Re-Programming a TimeClock) the clock will say one of two things "DOWNLOAD?" or "DOWNLOAD TYPE?". You will want to follow the below depending on what you receive: a. "DOWNLOAD?" - Press [ENTER] b. "DOWNLOAD TYPE?" - Press 2 then [ENTER] If you select the wrong option you could see this message.
