How To's - Employee Status Utility Overview/Manual/Installation Instructions
The Employee Status Plugin is a separate stand alone application that allows employers to check on the status of their employees and whether they are clocked in or out of their work place.

It is intended as a complimentary tool for our line of FlexClock's that have the ability to transmit punches to us in real time.

The standard Tranz 330/380 clocks can also benefit from the application BUT would not see as great of an impact using this unless you required all employees to press 9 after they punch in to manually transmit every punch. Even with that there can be a delay in upwards of 10 minutes before employees would be seen as in on the utility.

If you do plan to use this with employees that use the Tranz 330/380 Time Clocks please be aware that the application data may need to be refreshed manually by going to File > Force a site refresh or by using the "Refresh" button near the bottom of the application.

With the 2.201 revision it also includes the below features:

- See employee Schedules (if setup using the Scheduling Feature).

- See a summary of the total hours of all employees (Regular and Overtime) calculated within a specific date range.

- Allow for editing of Employee Setup. Filters and permissions still apply on the site based on the user's login.

Please NOTE: For the below feature to be accessible the "Scheduling" feature will need to be enabled by going to Accountant Menu > Miscellaneous Settings and checking the box next to "Scheduling". Without doing so will only allow for you to view information regarding time cards.

Also NOTE: Clients do not have to actually use and create Schedules to enjoy the below feature BUT the feature must be turned on.

- Allows for editing of Time Cards with the same interface as the "Schedule vs. Time Card" report. Filters and permissions still apply as on the site based on the user's login.

To access this feature go to Accountant Menu > Miscellaneous Settings and enabling the "EmployeeStatus".

To download the application you will then next go to Reports > "Download the Employee Status Plug-In" and it will download a "EmployeeStatusInstaller.msi"

After this just follow the wizard as far as installing the application.

In some cases you may be prompted to install Microsoft.net which is required for this application to run. Please do so if prompted.

Once the application is installed and running you view an instructional manual on the application and its features by clicking on the Help tab and selecting "Readme". A .pdf document of the help file is also attached here Employe_Status2_2_0_1-Readme.pdf.

Please NOTE: When upgrading to the 2.201 revision some people have reported errors when trying to update through the utility itself. If you receive an error with the update please log in to the site and re-download the application from Reports > "Download the Employee Status Plug-In" and install the "EmployeeStatusInstaller.msi" again.

If you have the latest version it will display a pop up notifying you of this. If you do not it will install and upgrade your current version to the latest.
